I am a trail runner so naturally i get dirt in my running shoes. I've now lost 2 Nike+ sensor thingys because the velcro gets dirty and doesn't work as well. I tried the silicon one too but it didn't fit on my shoes - the lace parts just didn't match up.Cuz the fit wasn't right, it felt odd when i was wearing it. Finally i tried this one. It was the cheapest and easiest to use. Plus, i got two.
